Art That Connects
I am a visual artist working primarily with collage and poetry and at times dance as my mediums. My creative practice is deeply inspired by the regenerative power of nature, and I seek to mirror this restorative process through my art. My overarching goal is to use visual art as a means of healing, renewal, and sparking meaningful dialogue. By utilizing old or discarded magazines in my collages, I embrace a sustainable approach, reducing waste while simultaneously creating new forms of expression. Engaging with my creativity has been crucial in cultivating my artistic voice, allowing me to craft a unique and personal aesthetic through my designs.
Having studied Natural Resources and Conservation at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, I integrate these disciplines into my artistic practice. My work seeks to explore and express themes related to nature, as well as pressing social issues. In particular, I aim to address topics such as climate change activism and LGBTQIA+ rights, which I believe are critical and should remain at the forefront of contemporary discourse. Through my art, I aspire to initiate conversations around these issues, offering my personal responses and reflections on both the environmental and social challenges we face today.
